Oh i close my eyes
Kaleidescope colors multiply
Somewhere between here and a dream...
In a skirt fit for spinning.
Glasses tinted Rose,
Perched upon a wrinkled up nose,
Kinda girls whose happy shows,
Spin laughing Til we cry,
When it's all too much
Look to the sky.
The kne I'm under now...
Somewhere over the rainbow,
Can you tell me how,
To forget the one I know by heart?
Somewhere down I-85,
Up above an Alabama sky,
Homesick like it's an art.
Hard to forget my southern start.
Won't after how long I've been away from home.
Click my heals and close my eyes...
Sometimes when the light's just right,
I don't feel so far away.
If home is a place,
I'm sure it's a Southern state.
